The research method is theoretical in terms of its objective and library-based in terms of data collection. In this study, one of the most important issues in Al-Farabi’s political philosophy—the Virtuous City—is first explained and analyzed, and then its roots in the thought of Plato and Aristotle are traced. The findings indicate that although Al-Farabi is often described as a Platonist, in this regard he was actually influenced by Aristotle. The only similarity between Al-Farabi’s Virtuous City and Plato’s lies in the notion of the philosopher-king or ruler-philosopher. However, the Platonic philosopher is one who perceives the world of Ideas, while according to Al-Farabi, the world of Ideas exists within God’s knowledge. Therefore, Al-Farabi’s Virtuous City cannot be equated with Plato’s, and thus his conception of the Virtuous City either originates from his own intellectual framework or from another source.</p> <p>    </p> <p>این مقاله درباره واکاوی ریشه‌های یونانی اندیشه سیاسی فارابی درباره مدینه فاضله است و باهدف تبیین و تحلیل تاثیر اندیشه‌های سیاسی افلاطون و ارسطو بر فارابی انجام‌شده است. روش این تحقیق ازنظر هدف نظری ولی ازنظر نحوه گردآوری داده‌ها کتابخانه‌ای است. در این تحقیق نخست یکی از مهم ترین مسائل اندیشه سیاسی فارابی؛ مدینه فاضله تبیین و تحلیل شده است سپس این مسئله مهم در اندیشه افلاطون و ارسطو ریشه یابی گردیده است و به این نتیجه رسیده است که علی رغم افلاطونی خواندن فارابی وی در این زمینه متاثر از ارسطوست. تنها همانندی مدینه فاضله فارابی با افلاطون در فیلسوف حاکم و حاکم فیلسوف است و فیلسوف افلاطونی کسی است که عالم ایده‌ها رو می‌بیند در حالی که عالم ایده‌ها از دید فارابی در علم خداوند قرار دارند و از این روی نمی‌توان مدینه فاضله فارابی را با مدینه فاضله افلاطون همانند دانست و بنابراین طرح مدینه فاضله فارابی یا بر آمده از اندیشه خود اوست یا سرچشمه‌ای دیگر دارد.</p> https://journaliki.com/index.php/journaliki/article/download/279/187
