This unique usage, from both semantic and ontological perspectives, conveys a profound concept regarding the mode of manifestation of immaterial realities in a perceptible form. The present study, employing a comparative semantic analysis method, examines the lexical root, morphological structure, and exegetical, philosophical, and mystical dimensions of this term, as well as its points of distinction from related terms such as shabah (likeness), ʿadīl (equivalent), naẓīr (counterpart), and muttafiq (congruent). Furthermore, by analyzing its relationship with concepts such as tajallī (theophany), tajassum (embodiment), tajas­sud (incarnation), and takhayyul (imagination), the study elucidates the semantic scope of tamaththul in Sūrat Maryam. The findings indicate that tamaththul does not denote material incarnation; rather, it signifies the imaginal manifestation of a non-material reality at the level of human perception—that is, the descent of a truth from the realm of jabarūt or malakūt to the realm of imagination or the imaginal world in order to be comprehensible to human beings. Consequently, tamaththul is a liminal concept that explicates the connection between the unseen realm and the sensory world.</p> <p>واژه‌ی «تمثّل» از ریشه‌ی «مثل» به معنای همانندی و شباهت، تنها یک‌بار در قرآن کریم و در آیه‌ی ۱۷ سوره‌ی مریم به‌کار رفته است. این کاربرد یگانه از نظر معناشناختی و هستی‌شناختی، حامل مفهومی ژرف درباره‌ی نحوه‌ی ظهور امور مجرد در قالب محسوس است. پژوهش حاضر با روش تحلیل معناشناسی تطبیقی، به بررسی ریشه‌ی لغوی، ساختار صرفی، و ابعاد تفسیری، فلسفی و عرفانی این واژه و وجوه افتراق آن با واژه‌های مشابهی چون شبه، عدیل، نظیر و متفق پرداخته و با نسبت سنجی این واژه با واژگانی چون: تجلّی، تجسم، تجسد و تخیّل، به معناشناسی آین واژه در سوره مریم می‌پردازد. یافته‌ها نشان می‌دهد که تمثل نه به معنای تجسد مادی، بلکه ظهور مثالی حقیقتی غیرمادی در سطح ادراک انسانی است؛ یعنی تنزل حقیقت از مرتبه‌ی جبروت یا ملکوت به مرتبه‌ی خیال یا مثال برای فهم آدمی. در نتیجه، تمثل مفهومی برزخی است که پیوند میان عالم غیب و عالم حس را تبیین می‌کند.</p> https://journaliki.com/index.php/journaliki/article/download/438/284
