The Rhetoric of the Holy Quran from the Perspective of Imam Reza (peace be upon her)
Keywords:
Quranic rhetoric, Imam Reza (AS), aesthetics, Quranic sciencesAbstract
The rhetoric of the Quran, as one of the miraculous aspects of this divine book, has always been of interest to Islamic commentators and thinkers. Imam Reza (AS), as one of the most prominent scientific and religious figures of Islam, played a fundamental role in explaining the rhetorical aspects of the Quran. This article examines Imam Reza's (AS) views on the rhetoric of the Quran with a descriptive-analytical approach. The findings show that Imam Reza (AS) presented a comprehensive picture of the rhetoric of the Quran by emphasizing the semantic and linguistic coherence of the verses, the artistic aesthetics of the text, and the precise use of vocabulary and literary devices. Imam Reza (AS) considered the rhetoric of the Quran not only as a linguistic feature, but also as a guiding and moral tool that conveys divine messages to the audience in an effective and lasting way. Imam Reza's (AS) analyses of the rhetoric of the Quran emphasize the profound effects of the language of the Quran on the guidance of humans and reflect his deep understanding of the linguistic and spiritual aspects of this holy book. Imam Reza's (AS) views also emphasize the harmony between verses and the coherence of the Quranic text, which has inspired Islamic commentators and thinkers in later centuries. This article shows that Imam Reza's (AS) views on the rhetoric of the Quran have had a profound impact on contemporary Quranic sciences and interpretation, and continue to be recognized as a valuable source for analyzing the rhetoric of the Quran.
