Abstract

Abu Sa'id Abu'l-Khair is one of the most prominent Muslim mystics who consistently sought the development and flourishing of his personality. In his Sufi teachings, he placed special emphasis on humanity and, through his actions and words, provided the groundwork for the spiritual ascent of others. The present study examines and analyzes Abu Sa'id’s personality, as well as the nature of his actions, sayings, and thoughts, in light of Abraham Maslow’s views as reflected in the theory of Mystical Experience or Peak Experience. The research employs a descriptive-analytical methodology and is based on library resources. The main aim and research question is to determine to what extent Abu Sa'id Abu'l-Khair’s personality aligns with Abraham Maslow’s perspective on Mystical Experience or Peak Experience.
